Commercial Lines Assistant Vice President Job Summary Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Assistant Vice President to join a growing and financially stable mid-sized insurance firm. This role is pivotal in supporting the Vice President in the day-to-day operations of the department, mentoring staff, and overseeing the Property & Casualty (P&C) book of business. If you are a collaborative leader with a passion for insurance and a desire to make a meaningful impact, Compensation Package Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000 annually Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available Responsibilities Provide direct support to the Vice President in managing the department's operations. Assist in training and mentoring staff to foster professional growth and development. Help implement new team structures and revise job descriptions as needed. Oversee the P&C book of business for the department, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and drive operational efficiency. Work on middle to large market accounts, primarily in the manufacturing, logistics, and hospitality industries. Qualifications/Requirements Licenses/Designations: Active P&C license required; professional designations such as CIC, CRIS, CISR, CPCU, or ARM are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in commercial lines insurance, with prior leadership experience and expertise in mid to large market accounts. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with AMS and EPIC systems (transitioning to EPIC). Soft Skills: Must-have: Process improvement mindset, mentorship abilities, and strong organizational/detail-oriented skills.
