Position: Foreman Location: Columbia, MD Job Id: 167 # of Openings: 1 Best Buy Waterproofing is seeking a motivated Foreman to join our growing team! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to advance their career in the specialized field of foundation repair and waterproofing. What You'll Do Leadership & Supervision Lead and supervise crew members in waterproofing and foundation repair installations Train and mentor new team members, fostering their professional growth Coordinate daily tasks based on project priorities and tight deadlines Technical Excellence Interpret project plans and detailed job specifications Inspect work to ensure compliance with company standards and building codes Monitor material inventory and ensure proper tool/equipment maintenance Safety & Communication Maintain clean, safe job sites following OSHA regulations Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors Complete daily reports, timesheets, and job documentation Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects. The desire to gain knowledge and develop skills and abilities. Valid driver’s license, along with MVR check and reliable transportation. Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Preferred: Previous experience in construction, foundation repair, or waterproofing. Ability to operate construction equipment and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of construction technique and materials. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret such materials as procedure manuals, instructional and operating manuals, and policies and procedures. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: The employee must be proficient with computer systems. The employee must be able to type accurately using both numerical and alphabetical keyboards. Employees must be proficient at proofreading documents. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data and relay this information to direct supervisor for review. Ability to interpret various forms of instruction in written and verbal form.
