Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology / Vascular Access)

Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | 13 Weeks with Possible Extension | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with an Oncology and Vascular Access focus
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing
• Perform IV starts and manage vascular access as part of routine patient care
• Manage a patient assignment in accordance with unit ratios, including weekday, every-other-weekend, float, and holiday shifts within the contract period
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the facility's electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or compact license valid in Virginia — must be in hand at time of submission; no exceptions
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• EPIC proficiency required — no exceptions
• Demonstrated skills in IV insertion and telemetry interpretation
• Must pass a pre-start EKG/telemetry written test with a score of 80% or higher (one attempt; no remediation available)
• Clear license and background history — any prior hits will disqualify a candidate from consideration; no exceptions
• Candidate's permanent address must be 50 or more miles from the facility; current address must be included with submission
• Fit testing must be current and compatible with standard mask requirements; PAPR cannot be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in oncology, telemetry, or vascular access nursing
