Product Engineer

Salary and Relocation Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a Product Engineer. Relocation assistance is being provided for anyone residing outside of a 50-mile radius of Highland, IL! The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What You’ll Do Provide continuous product sustaining, certification, and development support to ensure manufacturability, safety, quality, and marketability. Support electrical products, including commercial and industrial fittings, cable tray systems, mechanical supports and related components. Independently create, maintain, and update engineering documentation such as CAD drawings, technical specifications, bills of material, engineering change orders, work instructions, and SOPs. Collaborate closely with manufacturing, production, sourcing, marketing, and quality teams across multiple manufacturing sites and office locations to ensure product continuity, compliance, quality, and manufacturability. Exercise sound engineering judgment when addressing product and process issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend effective solutions aligned with preferred manufacturing methods and processes. Support and execute the certification strategy for products and manufacturing locations. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of one internship/co‑op. Knowledge of Manufacturing processes. Knowledge of Quality systems. Proficiency with Engineering software (Solid Works and AutoCAD preferred). Proficiency with Product Data Management systems (preferably SAP, Enovia). Project Management experience. Skills Detail‑oriented. High level of integrity. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines.
