This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end air import process, ensuring timely shipment movement, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior freight forwarding experience and strong working knowledge of CargoWise.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage international air import shipments from origin to final delivery
• Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers, overseas agents, and internal teams
• Prepare and review import documentation including airway bills, arrival notices, customs documents, and delivery orders
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and TSA requirements
• Communicate with airlines, truckers, warehouses, customs brokers, and overseas offices to ensure smooth cargo movement
• Arrange final delivery and track shipment milestones
• Accurately enter shipment data and maintain files within CargoWise
• Handle billing, vendor invoices, and customer invoicing
• Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and service issues in a timely manner
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in air import operations within an international freight forwarding environment
• Required experience using CargoWise
• Strong understanding of international air freight documentation and import procedures
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import compliance
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
