We work collaboratively to provide compassionate care and utilize evidence based practice to improve outcomes – to every patient, every time.Registered Nurse ResponsibilitiesAssess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the Psychiatric patient populationPartner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.QualificationsPassion for Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Nursing1+ Years of RN experience working in Psychiatry/Behavioral Health/Mental HealthEducation: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing requiredBachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferredLicensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & RegistrationCertification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Posted Salary RangeUSD $58.91 - USD $64.91 /Hr.St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is the largest in-patient psychiatric facility in Suffolk County, St. Catherine's Department of Psychiatry provides holistic, patient-centered care and advocacy services for adults aged 18 and older with a primary diagnosis of mental illness. Conditions treated include schizophrenia, and bipolar and depressive disorder conditions.
