Litigation Associate – Pasadena, California

A well-established California civil litigation defense firm is expanding its litigation team in response to a significant increase in wildfire litigation and is seeking multiple Litigation Associates to join its Pasadena office.

This is more than a traditional insurance defense position. Attorneys receive meaningful litigation responsibility from the outset, managing cases from inception through resolution while taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, attending hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences, negotiating settlements, and assisting with trial preparation. This is not a document review role; associates gain substantial courtroom exposure and hands-on litigation experience.

Compensation

• $135,000–$200,000 annually, commensurate with experience

 

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• Approximately 3–7 years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Civil litigation defense experience preferred
• Personal injury defense experience preferred
• Experience with pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, and court appearances
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload while meeting deadlines
• Interest in mentorship, litigation development, and increased courtroom and trial experience

 

Salary Ran ge: $135,000–$200,000
