NRP (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Job Details Labor and Delivery RN, Night Shift at Ascension Saint Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates, IL. Position specialty: RN Labor and Delivery. Shift timing: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night Shift). Job Requirements Must have a current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start. Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program). Completion of Ascension Cerner Test‑Out, Pharmacology Exam, Specialty Exam, Core Competencies, EKG Exam, and Skills Checklist prior to or at onboarding. Documentation of immunizations and health screenings, including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine (optional), Fit Test, Positive PPD with negative chest X‑ray, annual TB questionnaire, Health Statement, and 2 Step PPD or IGRA. Completion of background checks: Criminal Background Check, EPLS, Employment Verification, and Education Verification. Must complete Ascension Onboarding Requirements, Education Attestation, and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding. Driver's License/State ID must be current, valid, and match address. Ascension Resume and two professional references required for submission. Schedule Information Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30. Unit Specific Information Position is for Labor and Delivery unit. Ascension Specialty Exam and Skills Checklist must be completed demonstrating competency in Labor and Delivery specialty. Additional Details Ascension unit‑specific checklist is optional for onboarding but must be uploaded by Ascension unit leader within a week. Ascension Biometric consent required for all IL RN positions prior to start. Ascension Badge Photo required (forward‑facing headshot with white or blue background).
