Human Resources Coordinator

K1 Packaging Group is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations and help deliver consistent employee experiences. This onsite role is located in Ontario, CA and works alongside senior HR and recruiting partners on key activities including payroll coordination, recruiting support, and onboarding administration. This is a temp to perm position that will be reviewed after 6 months of employment. In this role, you will help maintain accurate HR and candidate documentation, coordinate hiring logistics, and ensure employee information stays current for compliance and audit readiness. The position includes bi-weekly payroll support and recruitment administration responsibilities, with added HR operational support across multiple divisions in Southern California. Role Responsibilities Handle ADP payroll entries and processing for salaried and hourly bi-weekly payroll . Support compliance efforts by maintaining up-to-date employee records and assisting with audits. Post job openings on internal job boards . Coordinate and schedule interviews among candidates, hiring managers, and the interview team. Initiate and track background checks , and update candidates once clearance is confirmed. Maintain accurate candidate records and communication logs . Provide recruitment support for hourly positions on an as-needed basis. Collaborate with the Human Resources Generalist to prepare materials for new hire orientation. Schedule orientation sessions and ensure calendar invites are sent to relevant parties. Support onboarding by organizing documentation and ensuring compliance. Deliver administrative and operational support, including filing, document management, and data entry . Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and procedures . Maintain confidentiality and support conflict resolution when needed. Assist with employee engagement initiatives and HR events such as employee recognition and training sessions. Requirements Bilingual English/Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels (must be Bilingual English/Spanish). Strong problem solving, time management, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution ability. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive employee and payroll information. Effective planning and organizational skills for day-to-day HR activities. Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and group settings. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point, Internet, and e-mail , plus experience using in-house programs and applications. Ability to support multiple divisions within a 60-mile radius in Southern CA , including travel at least twice a week . Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2–3 years of experience in HR administration/coordination in a coordinator or generalist role. Certificate in HR (such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or PHR ) is a plus. Strong ADP payroll and processing experience is required Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a strong understanding of HR operations .
