The role requires practicing independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of nursing, and coordinating patient care with other healthcare providers to support pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum needs. Job Details: Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse Specialty: L&D, Department: Labor and Delivery, Location: Not specified. Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), BLS certification from AHA, NRP certification, ACLS certification, RN License in the state of Texas or compact. Experience required: 1 year of nursing experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a perinatal setting or recent practice in labor and delivery. Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepted by designated trained staff, initial onboarding validated through competency validation and annual requirements. Completion of all competency verification requirements and specific to perinatal care.
