Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in San Antonio, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing independent and comprehensive nursing care to patients in a clinical setting, addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. The role requires clinical expertise, the ability to manage contingencies, and the capacity to coordinate with other care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Details: Shift Time: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM) Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM); current Basic Life Support (BLS); current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); and current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Licenses/Registrations: RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license. Experience: 0 years required. Experience in a Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal setting is preferred. Position Requirements: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire, complete onboarding requirements, and validate competencies through designated organizational and Perinatal Services-specific assessments. Completion of annual competency verification is required. Additional Information: The role involves providing comprehensive perinatal care, monitoring and administering medications, documenting patient information, and educating patients, families, and caregivers.
