Job Details Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel contract) Location: Rockingham, NC Setting: Urgent Care Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension) Hours per Week: 36 Shift Duration: 12‑hour shifts Patient Volume: Up to 40 patients per shift (adults and pediatrics, ages 6 months and up) EMR: Epic (training provided) Estimated Weekly Salary: $3,150 – $3,370 Nurse Practitioner Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, acute care, or emergency medicine Board Certification (NP Boards required) Active BLS certification Proficiency with Epic EMR (or willingness to complete training) Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently as the sole provider onsite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive acute care to adult and pediatric patients in an urgent care setting Perform minor procedures: I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other urgent care interventions Document patient encounters in Epic EMR Collaborate with onsite support staff (Center Manager, Medical Assistant, Patient Services Associate) and offsite supervising physician Provide patient‑centered care with professionalism and empathy Participate in onboarding and EMR training prior to first solo shift Benefits 401K with Matching Healthcare, Dental, and Vision coverage for employees Company‑paid malpractice available for 1099 contractors Weekly direct deposit for employees and contractors We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity across our organization.
