Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing /Process engineer Duration: Long-Term Job Summary Actalent is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support a leading manufacturing client in Eagle, Wisconsin. This is a hands‑on role focused on developing and optimizing fabrication processes, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), integrating new fabrication equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing engineering, with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for fabrication and manufacturing processes. Work directly with new and existing fabrication equipment to establish operating parameters and improve production efficiency. Optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, throughput, and consistency. Support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new fabrication equipment. Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve operational performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and process reliability. Support Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects by providing technical expertise for equipment selection and process implementation. Troubleshoot manufacturing and fabrication process issues and implement corrective actions. Train production personnel on SOPs, work instructions, and equipment operation. Collaborate with production, engineering, and cross‑functional teams to support manufacturing objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum 8 years of Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience. Minimum 8 years of experience in welding and fabrication environments. Minimum 8 years of experience creating SOPs and detailed work instructions. Minimum 8 years of experience supporting CapEx projects related to manufacturing or fabrication equipment. Strong hands‑on experience working with fabrication equipment on the production floor. Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Strong understanding of fabrication processes and production optimization.
