Senior Accountant

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $55.00 per hour, W2

Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for month-end close tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis. This position also handles daily general accounts payable functions including managing vendor updates, invoices, and oversight of the weekly payment run with the Controller.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries for month end close and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Review and prepare weekly work order status report for supply chain and management
• Review and prepare weekly Accounts Payables on hold report; work with supply chain and sourcing to clear AP holds
• Manage and record monthly T&E expense transactions for the business unit; work with stakeholders as necessary to ensure proper and timely recording to projects and P&L
• Create and maintain vendors and oversee weekly payment runs
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and complete monthly account reconciliations
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions/balances and complete monthly account reconciliations; work with sister company stakeholders to resolve variances
• Complete monthly/quarterly sales tax returns as needed
• Manage, code, and approve AP invoices for several key vendors as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Core Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Oracle or similar ERP system experience
• Advanced level Excel skills
• Self-motivated individual able to recommend solutions and work independently without constant Management direction

Desired Skills:

• Experience and background with project accounting
• Workday experience
• OneStream experience
