Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

• Support full-cycle accounts payable processing and serve as backup to the accounting team
• Prepare accounts receivable activity related to county, state, and federal funding and reporting
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and ensure accuracy within the payroll system
• Monitor inventory schedules, analyze weekly cash activity, and perform monthly reconciliations
• Support month-end close processes, including journal entries, adjustments, and deposit transmissions

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
