Senior Manager/Director, Creative Sync | Full-Time or Consultancy

The Role Parasol is seeking a Senior Manager or Director, Creative Sync to help drive the growth of our catalog, relationships, and creative ecosystem across film, television, trailers, video games, sports, and advertising. This role sits at the intersection of creative strategy, pitching, A&R, operations, and community building. The ideal candidate has exceptional taste in music, strong organizational skills, and a passion for connecting artists and composers with meaningful opportunities. You will help identify opportunities, pitch music to clients, coordinate creative collaborations and sessions, support licensing and clearances, maintain the operational systems that keep the business running smoothly, and contribute to the continued growth of the Parasol brand and community. What You'll Do Sync Strategy & Pitching Pitch music across film, television, movie trailers, promos, video games, sports, and advertising opportunities Curate playlists and creative submissions tailored to specific briefs and client needs Identify opportunities within our catalog and roster that align with incoming requests Maintain strong relationships with music supervisors, trailer houses, agencies, studios, brands, publishers, and production companies Help generate new business opportunities and creative partnerships A&R & Creative Development Help shape the growth and development of Parasol's catalog and creative roster Set up writing sessions, collaborations, camps, and creative partnerships between artists, producers, and composers Identify opportunities for commissioned works, custom projects, and strategic collaborations Support album development and creative initiatives across the Parasol ecosystem Maintain a strong understanding of emerging artists, trends, and opportunities across the music landscape Licensing, Clearance & Administration Support Support the execution of licensing, clearances, contracts, cue sheets, and project paperwork Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects move efficiently from award through delivery Assist with rights management and metadata accuracy across the catalog Help maintain organized documentation and workflows around licensing and custom projects Partner closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to support project execution Operations & Infrastructure Own and maintain internal trackers across active projects, placements, customs, quotes, and business development efforts Manage DISCO organization, metadata standards, and catalog maintenance Support reporting around placements, pipeline activity, catalog performance, and project status Help build and improve internal systems and processes as the company scales Ensure information flows effectively across creative, licensing, and business team Community, Events & Brand Development Support the planning and execution of writing camps, showcases, listening sessions, networking events, and community experiences Help strengthen and grow the PARASOL brand within the music, advertising, gaming, and entertainment communities Identify opportunities for partnerships, panels, speaking engagements, and industry activations Represent Parasol externally at conferences, events, and industry gatherings Contribute ideas that help expand Parasol's visibility, reputation, and creative community What You Bring 5-7+ years of experience in sync, creative A&R, music supervision, licensing, entertainment marketing, publishing, production music, or related fields Strong understanding of the sync licensing landscape across trailers, advertising, film, television, and gaming Demonstrated experience pitching music and curating submissions for clients Exceptional taste in music and a strong instinct for pairing music with visual storytelling Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment Passion for artists, creative communities, and relationship building Why Join Parasol?
