Job Description
Title: RN - PreOp

Schedule: Varied Shift, 8 hours

Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Relevant certifications as required by the specialty
- Minimum years of experience in a similar setting (if specified)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Unit-specific skills as applicable to PreOp care

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Monitor patient progress and respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.
- Educate patients and their families about pre-operative care and procedures.

Compliance / Notes:
- Compliance with facility policies regarding orientation and background checks.
- Adherence to drug screen requirements and dress code.
