As a Registration Coordinator, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients while helping ensure each visit is welcoming, organized, and efficient. You'll partner with providers and clinical teams to coordinate appointments, verify insurance, support patient communications, and keep daily clinic operations running smoothly—all while delivering the outstanding service that defines the OrthoVirginia experience.

What You'll Do

As a Registration Coordinator, you'll help create a seamless patient experience by:

• Welcoming patients and visitors with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional customer service.
• Scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, and managing patient communications via phone, email, and fax.
• Registering patients and maintaining accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information.
• Verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining prior authorizations, and collecting copays and other patient payments.
• Coordinating with providers, clinical staff, financial counselors, and billing teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Supporting daily clinic operations through administrative tasks, record management, and office coordination.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and following established scheduling, registration, and documentation procedures.
• Resolving patient questions or concerns and escalating issues appropriately to ensure timely service.
• Assisting with maintaining office supplies, equipment, and an organized front office environment.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will typically have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, patient registration, scheduling, healthcare administration, or a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, patient registration, or healthcare billing processes.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and teammates.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information.

Compensation Range for this position:

$19.46 - $29.19

Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
