Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a School Psychologist in the Huntsville, AL area. This contract position offers the chance to use your expertise to support academic and social development for school-aged children. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to help students reach their full potential in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications/Experience:

Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Alabama
Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
Experience providing psychological services in a K-12 school setting preferred
Skilled in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
Knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to identify students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Participate in eligibility determination meetings and develop, review, or update IEPs
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff
Provide individual and group counseling to support student growth and well-being
Offer crisis intervention and consultative services as needed
Deliver professional development or training to staff regarding student mental health and behavioral supports
Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with school and state policies
