Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work environment while maintaining connections with clients through telehealth services. However, occasional visits to our outpatient office may be necessary for team meetings and client assessments. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours required to accommodate client schedules and maximize access to care. Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans, while actively participating in treatment team meetings.

• Act as a liaison with various service systems, state agencies, and community partners to advocate for clients' needs and support their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elderly clients who are dealing with various mental health issues, including those triggered by life transitions, loss, chronic illness, and other age-related challenges. You will utilize culturally sensitive approaches to care, recognizing and addressing the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in New York State.
\n
• At least 4 years of recent experience providing counseling services, specifically to geriatric populations.

• Proficient in conducting thorough assessments and crafting personalized treatment strategies that respect the preferences and needs of older adults.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with elderly clients and their families, promoting an atmosphere of trust and respect.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise. Additionally, there is the potential for salary adjustments as you grow within the organization.
