Accounting Manager

We're looking for an Accounting Manager who knows the numbers, understands the why behind them, and isn't afraid to get into the details. This role is for someone who can lead and develop an accounting team while still being a strong accountant themselves. Someone who can dig into a reconciliation, spot when something doesn't make sense, understand what's driving it, and work with the team to fix the issue behind it. We're not looking for someone who wants to manage accounting from a distance. We want a leader who can bring structure to complexity, develop a strong team, and make our accounting operation better than they found it. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting team, setting clear expectations and building accountability Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and the accuracy of financial information Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules Review financial information, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues before they become bigger problems Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, documentation, and workflows Partner with leaders across the business to understand what's happening behind the numbers and solve problems Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, cash management, and financial reporting Play an active role in our ERP implementation and improve how our accounting systems and processes work together Build the technical knowledge and capabilities of the Accounting team Who We're Looking For You're an experienced accountant with a strong technical foundation and a natural curiosity about how things work. When something doesn't look right, you want to understand why, trace it back to the source, and figure out how to make it better. You also genuinely enjoy leading people. You set high expectations, but you're approachable. You teach, coach, ask questions, and help people become stronger at what they do. You'll probably be a great fit if you: Know your way around the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Can dig into an accounting issue and follow it through until you understand what's actually happening Know how to lead an accounting team, set clear expectations, and help people grow Notice when a process isn't working and naturally start thinking about how to make it better Can bring organization and structure without needing everything around you to already be perfectly organized Communicate well with both accountants and non-accountants Are comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and admitting when you need to learn something Take the work seriously without taking yourself too seriously Sound Like You?
