Position Details:
Ultrasound General/Vascular Tech- Washington, IA
Location : Washington, IA 52353
Duration : 13 Weeks Contract
Salary Range : $55- $60/hr
Shift Timing : Full-time position 32-40 hours a week. Either 8 or 10 hour days

Job Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist shall perform general, abdominal/OB-Gyn, and vascular.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to be successful.


Duties/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)

• Perform high quality general ultrasound including abdomen and OB/GYN and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Competently set up and assist radiologist.
• Working with the EMR's to generate and complete exam orders.
• Perform, record, and analyze QC data in order to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
• Regular attendance, including clocking in and out at scheduled times and minimal unplanned time off.
• Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge, by completing in-house education and competencies, learning new protocols, and new equipment training.
• Responsible for contacting service personnel and notifying supervisors of malfunctioning equipment
• Transporting patients
• Knowledge of PACS systems, releasing/transmitting images.
• Inform appropriate personnel of department supply needs ensuring uninterrupted testing.
• Work well with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences.
• Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies
• Display and promote company values
• Other duties as assigned

Education And/Or Experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound
• RVT registration, preferred
• RDMS (AB, OB-GYN), preferred
• BLS required
