Compensation: $24.10 + $5.09 H&W

Job Description:

The Lead Worker is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in the daily business operations of the PSNY Commissary Store. General tasks include janitorial services, shelf stocking, sorting received product, training staff, communicating with and helping customers, managing inventory, acting as an alternate PM in the absence of the Project Manager and carrying out directives the Project Manager gives.

Specific duties include:

• Overseeing staff in the absence of the Project Manager.
• Receiving products and verifying product counts.
• Stocking
• Front facing of products on shelves to correlate accurate expiration dates.
• Filling product holes.
• Cleaning shelves, dusting.
• Cleaning bathrooms. Sweep wet mop grocery aisles.
• Floor work. Scrubbing and Buffing floors.
• Snow Removal (Winter) sidewalks, loading docks, Sand & Salt
• Addressing any questions from customers from product type to product location.
• Following and enforcing safety standards during working hours.

Schedule of Positions Available:

• Tuesday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
• Wednesday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
• Thursday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
• Friday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
• Saturday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Conditions of Employment:

• Must meet program eligibility requirements
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• You must pass a government background so to acquire naval access badge.

Qualifications

Skills:

Preferred Lifting less than 20 lbs Novice

Use of power scrubbers, waxers and buffers Novice

Knowledge of Custodial/cleaning practices Novice
