Senior Lead Software Engineer - Python, Go

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 10+ years of hands-on experience
• Proven background in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, with production-grade AI/ML and automation delivery
• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and tools, including how to operationalize them in cloud environments
• Deep expertise in AWS services for automation and AI/ML workloads, such as Step Functions, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SageMaker, Bedrock, Glue, EventBridge, and IAM
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code, including module creation, state handling, and multi-environment deployment approaches
• Experience using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows, including the ability to evaluate, govern, and scale AI coding tools across an engineering team
• Ability to work independently on complex design and functional challenges with minimal supervision, taking solutions from ambiguous requirements to production
• Practical cloud-native experience with a strong understanding of security, scalability, resilience, and cost optimization in AWS
• Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools, including governance, working practices, measurement, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, resiliency, security, and control expectations, with the ability to coach and influence leaders on safe scaling patterns
• Familiarity with SQL, Bash, or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Hands-on experience developing in Java or Golang

• Provide authoritative technical guidance and architectural direction to business stakeholders, technical teams, contractors, and vendors, with a focus on workflow automation, AI/ML platforms, and cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Design, engineer, and implement end-to-end workflow automation solutions and AI/ML pipelines from architecture through production deployment
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review, debug, and optimize code written by others, using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development practices to speed delivery
• Drive architectural decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations, including Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code standards across AWS environments
• Serve as a subject matter expert in AWS cloud architecture, MLOps, workflow orchestration, and intelligent automation
• Define and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines, Terraform-based IaC, model lifecycle management, and automated testing within the SDLC
• Contribute to the engineering community by championing firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices, including AWS Well-Architected principles, Terraform module reuse, and responsible AI/ML governance
• Influence peers and decision-makers to assess and adopt leading-edge technologies such as LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, and cloud-native automation services like AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, SageMaker, and Bedrock
• Set and scale operating practices for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across multiple teams to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes
• Establish measurable expectations such as throughput, defect reduction, and reliability, while ensuring validation, security, resiliency, and reuse of proven patterns
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve efficiency and support capacity unlock initiatives across teams
