Job Title: Revenue Cycle Manager - Outpatient Collections Job type: Full-Time | Exempt Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO/holiday pay Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle leader to lead its outpatient insurance collections team. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for a proven revenue cycle leader who is passionate about improving operational performance, mentoring teams, and driving reimbursement results in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the outpatient collections team to achieve departmental goals and performance metrics. Oversee daily insurance follow-up activities and ensure timely resolution of outstanding accounts and aging A/R. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, quality, and reimbursement trends to improve operational performance. Analyze aging reports, denial trends, and payer issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Oversee appeals, claim corrections, rebills, adjustments, and refunds. Partner with billing, coding, credentialing, and other revenue cycle departments to resolve reimbursement issues. Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Implement workflow improvements to maximize collections and reduce accounts receivable days. Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to leadership. Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of team members. Assist with complex payer escalations and reimbursement issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of outpatient or physician revenue cycle experience with a focus on insurance collections and A/R follow-up. 2+ years of leadership or management experience within a revenue cycle environment. Strong knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payer guidelines. Experience managing denials, appeals, reimbursement analysis, and revenue cycle KPIs. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with EMR and practice management systems. Base Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per year.
