Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Training Coordinator to join our team in Lake County and Northwest Illinois territory.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, additional days and hours may be requiredJob Responsibilities:Assist with the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training to ensure a positive new hire experienceProvide on-going group and individualized training for purposes of work performance enhancement and general educationDeliver training in the areas of company and department policies and procedures, department related competencies and Lab Information SystemsDevelop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectivesEvaluate and update existing training materials and plansServe as a procedural and compliance resource for department employeesSupport leadership with their goals in relation to quality and service metricsAssist with the creation of improvement plans for underperforming employeesMaintain accurate logs and records for all trainings conductedProvide training with respect and professionalism at all timesAssist with the workflow during times of high volume or when coverage is neededMay travel to client sites and other branches to assist in trainingResearch industry related information when necessaryAdditional administrative tasks as neededMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED or equivalent3 years or more of Phlebotomy experience drawing patients of all agesPreferred Qualifications:1 year or more experience training employees1 year or more experience as a people leaderAdditional Job Standards:Strong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh attention to detail and time management skillsProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceFlexibility to travel throughout territory for training purposesComfortable working under minimal supervisionBasic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft OfficeValid driver's license and clean driving recordAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAt LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
