ObGyn physician employment in New York :
An inpatient hospital is seeking a Laborist in Newburgh, NY. This role provides obstetric inpatient coverage for a high-volume community hospital and involves managing labor and delivery care, including cesarean sections when needed.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Sunday through Saturday
- Hours: 24-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM
- Setting: Inpatient hospital
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient laborist coverage for obstetric patients.
- Manage general OB/GYN and high-risk OB cases.
- Evaluate and treat an average census of 7 to 8 patients per day.
- Perform cesarean sections when clinically indicated.
- Coordinate care in a hospital setting with emergency privileges as needed.
Qualifications:
- Board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Active state medical license.
- DEA registration.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- NRP certification.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in laborist or inpatient obstetric practice.
- Familiarity with EPIC.
- Background working with high-risk obstetric populations.
