Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in payroll and accounting? RSI Community is looking for a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team and help keep our operations running smoothly.

Your work ensures that the dedicated people who support our residents are paid accurately and on time—and that our vendors and partners receive the same care and attention.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Payroll Management

• Manage bi-weekly payroll across our homes and programs.
• Review and post payroll cycles through UKG and our accounting system.
• Resolve timekeeping and pay questions with employees.
• Collaborate with HR on employee changes, benefits deductions, and tax reporting.

Accounts Payable

• Manage vendor invoices and payments.
• Ensure accurate coding and timely processing.
• Work with program leadership on staffing costs and financial details.

Finance & Compliance Support

• Support month-end close.
• Assist with audit preparation.
• Maintain accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Keep multiple deadlines moving efficiently.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Prior payroll and accounts payable experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Discretion when handling sensitive information.

A PLUS:

• Knowledge of MIP Fund Accounting.
• General accounting background.
• Nonprofit or human services experience.

Our payroll and accounting systems are largely automated through UKG and our accounting platform. This position focuses on the work that requires judgment, accuracy, problem-solving, and follow-through.
