Radiology Manager

Manager Of Radiology Services Provides leadership, supervision, and coordination of department activities, ensuring safety for patients and staff. Directs all human resource functions, overseeing training and ensuring staff competencies, and maintaining safe staffing levels. Develops and manages the department budget to meet organizational and patient safety goals and ensures regulatory compliance. Monitors departmental indicators and PI activities, reporting as directed. Performs radiology technician duties as needed. Supports the Mission and Core Values of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, contributing to the strategic plan and the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Responsibilities Provide supportive and compassionate leadership to staff. Respond to staff requests in a timely manner. Ensure accurate and timely communication. Address conflicts involving other disciplines and services. Coordinate department activities, ensuring patient and staff safety. Act as professional liaison with Medical Staff. Develop staffing plans that meet population needs and maintain safe staffing levels. Determine staffing matrix, post open positions promptly, and expedite screening and interviewing. Ensure competency of all staff through training and evaluations. Establish performance standards and evaluate staff annually. Identify opportunities for staff development and implement improvement plans. Promote continuous staff development and education in PI methodology. Develop department goals, objectives, and educate on PI participation. Accurately prepare and report departmental activities and findings. Develop and manage budget according to organizational goals and patient safety standards, reviewing annually and verifying monthly accounting details. When necessary, perform radiographic exams in accordance with ARRT/CRT standards and maintain a repeat rate Process film and evaluate technical quality. Independently recognize and prioritize duties, organising work and time to meet objectives. Respond constructively to feedback and maintain professional conduct. Adhere to attendance and punctuality requirements per hospital policy. Use equipment responsibly and observe all hospital and departmental policies. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for persons with disabilities. Provide high-quality customer service, maintaining patient rights, and enhancing communication. Collaborate with colleagues, physicians, and the public to achieve departmental goals. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols, PPE use, waste disposal, and emergency procedures.
