Associate Attorney - Personal Injury

As the firm continues to grow, we’re looking to add an Associate Attorney who wants to build their career in personal injury litigation alongside an experienced and collaborative legal team. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants more than simply managing a docket. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of cases, work directly with clients, negotiate with carriers and opposing counsel, and develop your litigation skills through exposure to mediation, arbitration and trial. What You’ll Do Manage personal injury matters from intake through resolution Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions and other legal documents Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration and trial Work closely with attorneys, paralegals and support staff to move cases effectively Maintain strong, responsive communication with clients throughout the life of their case Manage deadlines and caseload while maintaining a high standard of legal representation What We’re Looking For J.D. from an accredited law school Active Michigan law license in good standing 2+ years of personal injury experience preferred Personal injury law firm or related litigation experience strongly preferred Strong writing, negotiation and advocacy skills Ability to manage cases and competing deadlines effectively A collaborative approach and genuine commitment to client service Someone who wants to continue developing as a litigator and grow with the firm Why Goodman Acker You’ll join an established Michigan firm with an experienced legal team, strong resources and a culture built around integrity, hard work and results.
