Alpha Data Implementation Project Manager, Vice President

Why this role is important to us The team you will join is part of a global, cross‑divisional organization supporting State Street Alpha, a market‑leading, open front‑to‑back platform that harmonizes data, technology, and services across front, middle, and back office capabilities. Alpha Data Services delivers managed data services to clients at scale, and the ADI Project Manager plays a central role in ensuring these services are implemented safely, predictably, and consistently. Purpose of the Role The ADI Project Manager drives coordination and execution of a large, complex data workstream within a broader Alpha implementation program, ensuring alignment to delivery objectives set by the Implementation Lead and to program timelines, PMO standards, and implementation framework requirements. Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end project management and governance for the data workstream from initiation through CUAT, DiLT, and Go‑Live. Drive delivery outcomes to meet time, scope, and quality targets. Identify and manage constraints, replanning activities to protect key milestones and client readiness. Align all data activities across lifecycle phases (design, build, testing, go‑live readiness, production conversion). Coordinate closely with upstream and downstream workstreams, manage interdependencies, and define, track, and manage dependency milestones. Develop and maintain integrated workstream plans aligned to program timelines and PMO standards. Track deliverables, maintain artifacts (project plans, RAID logs, decision logs, dependency tracking), and support change control and scope management. Oversee core data activities: scope definition, environment readiness, transformation, migration sequencing, validation, and production conversion. Partner with SMEs and technical teams to validate assumptions, resolve data issues, and ensure quality outcomes. Escalate risks and delays with impact assessments and recovery plans; drive resolution of data‑related risks, issues, and defects. Support client‑facing delivery activities, provide transparent updates on progress, risks, and milestones, and build strong relationships across teams. Partner with the ADI PMO to monitor effort, resourcing, and financial burn using Clarity. Capture lessons learned and support the development of repeatable, scalable delivery approaches. Skills & Attributes Strong project/program management skills with experience on complex, cross‑functional programs. Proven ability to manage dependencies across multiple teams. Experience working with Product, Operations, Technology, and client teams simultaneously. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. Highly organized, disciplined, outcomes‑focused, with attention to detail. Proactive, accountable, able to anticipate issues and drive resolution. Collaborative and resilient, able to operate effectively in fast‑paced, delivery‑driven environments. Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, technology, data, or a related discipline. 10+ years of experience delivering projects in asset management, financial services, data services, or technology‑enabled environments. Experience with structured delivery methodologies (Waterfall and/or Agile). Familiarity with delivery and financial tracking tools such as Clarity and Jira. Prince2, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification preferred. Salary Range The quoted range applies to the role in the primary location specified.
