This position reports to the Managing Director of Advancement and plays a central role on the Advancement Team by leading three interconnected areas of fundraising and engagement: special events, corporate partnerships, and program volunteers. The Corporate and Events Manager works collaboratively with colleagues across Advancement and Programs to ensure that events and corporate engagement strategies support Seabury’s broader development goals. This position is both strategic and tactical, with responsibility for planning, executing, and growing Seabury’s signature event (Leadership in Aging) as well as smaller cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year. The role manages event logistics, vendor and contract coordination, sponsorship fulfillment, volunteer committees, marketing and ticket sales, and all event-based fundraising initiatives. They bring confidence in external relationship-building, comfort with solicitation and sponsorship conversations, and a collaborative approach to working across teams. This individual is motivated by revenue growth, thrives in fast-paced event environments, and understands how thoughtful corporate and volunteer engagement can strengthen long-term philanthropic partnerships. This position is a full-time, 40‑hour per week job in a hybrid role of two days/week in the Seabury office in Washington DC, and work‑from‑home option the remainder of the time. Essential Job Responsibilities Corporate Partnerships Oversee Seabury’s Corporate Partner program, ensuring all corporate partners receive promised benefits throughout the year. Lead the process of prospecting for new corporate partners and determine the best strategy for initial engagement. Work with corporate partners to organize employee volunteering across Seabury programs when applicable. In partnership with the Managing Director and CEO, manage Seabury’s corporate funder relationships, ensuring regular communication and stewardship throughout the year. Event Fundraising Lead the strategic planning process for Seabury’s two core annual fundraising related events (Leadership in Aging and Celebration of Service), including fundraising goals, budget recommendations, volunteer goals, and timelines.
