Job Title: RN – LDRP & Level 1 Nursery Unit

Location: Salida, CO

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule:
• Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 36 Hours/Week
• Weekends Required
• Holiday Coverage May Be Required
• Overtime Available

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery / Nursery Registered Nurse to join the Family Birthing Center team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and skilled care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care
• Monitor and assess maternal and newborn patient conditions
• Assist and educate mothers with breastfeeding and newborn care
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding pregnancy, delivery, postpartum recovery, and infant care
• Document patient care, education, and events accurately within medical records
• Communicate patient status effectively with physicians and healthcare teams
• Assist physicians during procedures and emergencies
• Collaborate with nursery nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment

Requirements:
• Active Colorado RN license required or ability to obtain upon acceptance
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong maternal-newborn assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities required
