As a Senior HR Manager, you'll own performance management, compensation planning, multi-state compliance, and employee relations while serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers across the business. You'll work with modern HRIS platforms, partner closely with Talent Acquisition and Legal, and help shape the culture of a growing remote-first company.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR business partner to senior leaders and people managers
- Lead employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and complex performance issues
- Own and improve performance management programs, including review cycles and calibration
- Partner on compensation planning, leveling, promotions, and equity refresh cycles
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple U.S. states
- Build and scale people programs in onboarding, engagement, retention, and manager development
- Manage and mentor a small team of HR or People Operations professionals
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Legal on workforce planning and policy
- Use HRIS and people analytics to surface insights and inform decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with 2+ years managing direct reports
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and multi-state compliance
- Experience supporting employees and managers in a fully remote or distributed company
- Proven track record of leading employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, Justworks, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret people data and turn it into action
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive presence
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience at a high-growth startup or scaling tech company
- Background supporting technical or sales organizations
- Familiarity with global or international HR considerations
