Assignment Overview

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in MedSurg/Tele for a travel assignment in Shelby, NC. The ideal candidate should have at least 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience and be comfortable with patient types such as joint replacements, colon resection, and other medical procedures. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Patient Ratios: Days 1:4-6, Nights 1:5-6; up to 1:7-8 during surge staffing
• Charting System: EPIC
• Floating: Required within region and scope of practice

Responsibilities

• Interpret cardiac rhythms
• Manage non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone)
• Perform wound care and manage drains/tubes
• Administer peripheral intravenous (PIV) starts and central line management
• Provide patient care in accordance with unit policies

Qualifications

Required:

• 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
• Certifications & Licenses: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Skills: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips, wound care
