About the Position

Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 18 months Med/Tele RN experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Basic Med/Tele skillset - Cardiac rhythm interpretation - Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips - Wound care - Drain/tube management - PIV starts - Central line management Description: We are seeking an experienced RN to join our MedSurg/Tele team. This position requires working on a 12-hour night shift. The RN will provide care for patients with a variety of diagnoses. Common patient conditions include stroke, respiratory illnesses, renal failure, and wounds. The RN will manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6, with potential surge staffing ratios of 1:7-8. Support staff, including CNAs, will assist with activities of daily living and mobility. The department has access to RT services, hospitalists, intensivists, and telemetry monitoring. The RN will utilize EMR for documentation and patient care management. The role may involve floating to other facilities as needed within the region. Weekend rotation and holiday expectations apply.
