About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) for Perioperative Services. The ACNO will be a pivotal member of the nursing and patient care executive leadership team, responsible for advancing the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of the organization. This role demands a leader with a strategic orientation, capable of ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and equitable care across system-level perioperative sites. The successful candidate will be tasked with strengthening operational effectiveness, promoting workforce engagement, and leading key aspects of perioperative operations. The ACNO will also be responsible for the leadership of senior and front-line nurse leaders, oversight of perioperative staffing effectiveness, and associated budgets, as well as perioperative transition to practice programs. Applicants for the ACNO position must have a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a Master of Science degree in nursing practice or administration, or a BSN with a master's in business administration or other healthcare-related master's degree, coupled with a commitment to doctoral-level preparation. CNOR certification and nurse executive board certifications are required. The ideal candidate will have a background in progressive perioperative nursing leadership within an academic medical center or complex health system, with a proven track record in large-scale OR operations. Experience in a Magnet-designated institution and pediatric-specific nursing leadership are strongly preferred. The role also requires a professional RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts prior to the date of hire.
