Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Description Join our team as a Project Engineer within our Utilities (Water/Wastewater) practice area. This is a hybrid role based out of our Charlotte, North Carolina office. In this role, you will lead the planning, design, and management of water distribution and wastewater collection system projects, including pipelines, pump stations, storage facilities, and related infrastructure. You will oversee project execution, prepare and review engineering designs and specifications, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or field of expertise or equivalent experience Licensed Professional Engineer 4+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects Proficiency in pump station design and utility infrastructure Self‑motivated, engaged, and team‑oriented with the ability to work independently Handle multiple tasks under pressure and prioritize responsibilities Exhibit leadership in planning and/or design concepts and methods Ability to successfully manage all internal aspects of projects/project tasks Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent oral and written communication skills Ability and willingness to mentor and lead technical staff AutoCAD Civil 3D experience The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job. Working Conditions The assignment may require infrequent evening/weekend work and off site travel to career fairs and other related sites.
