Accounts Payable Specialist

The MSU Bookstore is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Bozeman, Montana. As a student-faculty owned cooperative serving Montana State University since 1931, we are committed to supporting student success through affordable course materials, exceptional customer service, and a culture of respect, teamwork, and inclusion.

Reporting to the CEO, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, including vendor invoice processing, payment administration, statement reconciliation, record maintenance, and other related accounting functions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payments while building positive relationships with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders. This unique role combines accounting responsibilities with customer-facing retail support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both office-based work and engaging with the public.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. This position is performed on-site and may include seasonal weekend and after-hours shifts to support business operations.

Salary:

$22.00 DOE
