Step into a rewarding school-based role providing speech-language services across two vibrant high schools and one elementary campus. This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year, from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027, with a consistent 40-hour workweek split between Westmoreland and Lane sites. At Westmoreland, you’ll focus primarily on students with special education needs, while your days at Lane emphasize assisting students in building vital social skills.

You’ll serve a caseload of approximately 33 students, supporting life skills programming and collaborating with dedicated in-person staff, including paraprofessionals and special education teachers. Although not required, familiarity with feeding and swallowing (safe eating) practices and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is highly valued; training can be provided for the right candidate eager to learn and grow in these areas.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience in school-based settings or serving pediatric populations
• Interest or experience in feeding/swallowing and AAC interventions (preferred, not mandatory)
• Strong commitment to in-person student engagement—virtual/hybrid options are not available
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams

Role Expectations:

• Provide direct, in-person speech/language therapy and evaluations
• Develop individualized service plans within life skills programming
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and support IEP development
• Consult with educators, assistants, and families
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
