SACC Team Leader Norfolk Public Schools Norfolk, Massachusetts Open in Google Maps Job Details Job ID: 5888775 Application Deadline: Aug 28, 2026 11:59 PM (UTC) Posted: Aug 17, 2026 12:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Norfolk Public Schools Norfolk, Massachusetts Job Title: SACC Team Leader FTE: 27.5 hours/week Schedule: 5.5 Hours/day Split Shift as follows: 6:45am - 8:45am and 2:15pm-5:45pm Variations to the schedule will be considered Job Summary: The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Director and/or Site Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of the Before and/or After School Programs. The Team Leader is responsible for the group of children that has been assigned to him/her, and any staff who have been hired to assist him/her. Maintain a positive, respectful environment for children, staff, and parents Supervise and evaluate any staff assigned to him/her, including delegating responsibilities Attend staff meetings as scheduled Keep attendance sheets updated throughout the morning/afternoon Assume responsibilities of Director/Site Coordinator in his/her absence Be responsible for decisions regarding changes in schedule due to weather, space availability and staff placement Adhere to the schedule set forth by the Director and/or Site Coordinator Plan and implement age appropriate activities that meet the needs and interests of the children Maintain open lines of communication with school personnel, including: school administrators, teachers, and custodians Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians, including daily feedback Work under general supervision of the Director/Site Coordinator Adhere to all program policies and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook Provide children with coping strategies for behavioral issues and conflict resolution Supervise play activities by: Enforcing safety rules Intervening when a child is likely to injure him/herself or another child Ensuring proper usage of facilities and equipment Enforcing a bully free environment Administer quick and correct first aid procedures in a caring and nurturing manner Be knowledgeable about specific allergies/conditions of children in your group and having proper materials readily available in case of reaction Keep first aid kit fully stocked and readily available Make all staff aware of your whereabouts and the whereabouts of your group Assist in the preparation and closing down of the environment Keep the environment clean and organized for the enjoyment and safety of the children Be responsible for oneself regarding reliability, promptness of arrival, and finding coverage when necessary Complete curriculum plans and meet program deadlines Communicate with Director/Site Coordinator about issues including, but not limited to: Accidents Incidents Staff Issues Safety Issues Family Issues Assume additional duties as needed Authority: Reports to SACC Director Compensation: FLSA Non-Exempt (Hourly) Work Year: 10 Month Position Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a public school Experience working with Elementary age students Salary Range: $24.73 - $26.00/hour Depending on experience Position Type: Full-time Salary: $24 to $26 Per Hour Job Categories: Athletics & Activities > After School Programs Job Requirements At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
