Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Avis Behavioral Health Center, your primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments with clients and their families to identify areas of concern and develop effective treatment plans.

• Providing individual therapy sessions for each family member, as well as conducting couples and family therapy sessions.
\n
• Specializing in issues such as alcohol abuse, conflicts among family members, grief and loss, job-related stress, and communication difficulties.
\n
• Facilitating conflict resolution and enhancing family dynamics through tailored therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with industry regulations.
\n
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass working with a wide range of clients, including adults, children, and adolescents. You will provide therapeutic support for diverse family structures, including blended families and those experiencing separation or divorce. Your work will help clients navigate parenting conflicts, grief, employment issues, and mental health challenges, ultimately facilitating improved mental well-being and nurturing healthier relationships.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.

• An active license in the state of Georgia.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
