The Part-time Media Director leads and oversees the church’s media operations to support excellent, engaging, and distraction-free worship experiences, Bible study, special services, and ministry events. This person will provide spiritual, creative, and technical leadership for the media team, directing volunteers and staff while ensuring all visual, audio-visual, presentation, camera, and livestream elements are prepared and executed with excellence. The ideal candidate is a dependable servant-leader with strong technical skills, a creative eye, the ability to lead people calmly under pressure, and a heart for ministry within a large Black church context.

Key Responsibilities

Sunday Services (Two-9:15am & 11:00am both locations)

• Lead all media operations for Sunday worship services, including pre-service preparation, live execution, and post-service shutdown.
• Direct camera operators and call camera shots in real time to capture worship, preaching, congregation engagement, altar ministry, announcements, and special moments with excellence and sensitivity.
• Operate and maintain ProPresenter, ensuring lyrics, scriptures, sermon notes, videos, announcements, lower thirds, and other presentation elements are accurate and properly timed.
• Coordinate with pastors, worship leaders, musicians, audio team members, production volunteers, and other ministry leaders to support the service flow.
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly during live services.
• Ensure livestream and in-room visual content are clear, professional, and aligned with the church’s worship experience.

Tuesday Night Teaching & Bible Study

• Run media operations for Tuesday night teaching, Bible study, and other scheduled weekday ministry gatherings.
• Prepare and display scriptures, teaching notes, graphics, videos, and presentation content through ProPresenter or other approved platforms. Direct cameras and oversee livestream production as needed.
• Support a welcoming, organized, and high-quality environment for in-person and online participants.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, schedule, train, encourage, and supervise the media staff and volunteer team.
• Create clear Sunday and Tuesday assignments for camera operators, ProPresenter operators, graphics personnel, livestream team members, and other production roles.
• Conduct team huddles, rehearsals, and post-service debriefs when appropriate.
• Develop volunteers by teaching technical skills, service etiquette, communication, spiritual maturity, and excellence in ministry.
• Foster a positive, unified, accountable, and servant-hearted media culture.
• Creative & Technical Production
• Create or coordinate the creation of graphics as needed, including sermon series graphics, announcement slides, lower thirds, social media visuals, event screens, worship backgrounds, and promotional materials.
• Maintain an organized media library for graphics, videos, sermon files, service templates, and presentation assets.
• Help develop consistent visual branding that reflects the church’s mission, culture, and ministry standards.
• Monitor the condition of media equipment and communicate maintenance, repair, replacement, and supply needs to leadership.
• Assist with production planning for special services, conferences, funerals, weddings, holiday services, revivals, and major church events as assigned.
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Demonstrated proficiency with **ProPresenter**, including service planning, lyrics, scripture, media playback, lower thirds, and live presentation operation.
• Experience directing live camera shots and camera operators for worship services, events, broadcasts, or similar live productions.
• Working knowledge of livestreaming, video switching, presentation systems, projection/screens, and basic audio-visual troubleshooting.
• Ability to lead a small staff and volunteer team with confidence, patience, clarity, and professionalism.
• Strong eye for visual composition, creative design, branding, and worship presentation.
• Ability to create professional graphics using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, or comparable design tools.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced live-service environment.

• A growing Christian faith and an understanding of the importance of worship, preaching, prayer, and ministry moments in a church setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience serving as a media director, production director, creative director, livestream director, or church media leader.
• Experience in a large or multi-service church environment.
• Familiarity with Black church worship culture, musical flow, preaching cadence, altar ministry, and the importance of capturing authentic congregational moments with reverence.
• Experience with camera switching systems, livestream platforms, lighting, video editing, and social media content production.
