Pay: $43,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearJob description:Position SummaryUnico Supply is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Purchasing Agent to support our procurement and operations team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in supply chain management and purchasing within the millwork and architectural building materials industry. The Purchasing Agent will help source, purchase, and manage materials used in the fabrication and distribution of high-quality millwork products, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Purchasing: Assist in sourcing and ordering millwork materials such as lumber, veneers, hardware, finishes, and panel products.Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to request quotes, confirm pricing, and manage order status to ensure on-time delivery.Inventory Control: Help monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to maintain adequate stock for production schedules.Purchase Order Management: Create and process purchase orders accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget guidelines.Cost and Quality Assurance: Compare pricing, review supplier performance, and ensure materials meet Unico Supply's quality standards.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, project management, and estimating teams to align purchasing needs with current and upcoming jobs.Documentation: Maintain organized records of orders, invoices, and supplier correspondence.Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing efficiency and supplier relationships.QualificationsAssociate 's degree (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory management principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with ERP or purchasing systems preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Eagerness to learn about millwork materials, manufacturing processes, and vendor networks.Preferred ExperienceExposure to the millwork, construction supply, or manufacturing industry.Familiarity with wood species, sheet goods, hardware, and finishing materials.Why Join Unico SupplyCompetitive entry-level pay with opportunities for growth.Comprehensive training and mentorship in purchasing and supplier management.Collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on quality and service.Opportunity to advance into senior purchasing, supply chain, or operations roles as skills develop.Job Type: Full- timeBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
