Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Position Summary: The Procurement Specialist I is responsible for assisting with daily operations of the Procurement Department, supporting the procurement process through a variety of administrative and operational tasks. This entry-level position requires an individual with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure that procurement activities are completed efficiently and accurately Duties and Responsibilities: Assist procurement specialists in entering purchase orders for materials, subcontracts, and rental equipment. Support the maintenance of purchase order logs and project-related spreadsheets. Expedite material purchases and rental equipment orders to ensure timely delivery. Communicate with vendors to resolve issues such as missing materials, required Proof of Delivery (POD), quotes, or lead time inquiries. Coordinate vendor drawings with engineering and manufacturers to ensure alignment with project requirements. Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries regarding daily procurement activities and provide clear and accurate information. Relay procurement-related information to other departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support procurement operations. Perform other job-related duties as requested by management. Qualifications: High school diploma, or equivalent, education is required Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other applicable field is preferred Minimum of 1-year general office experience in a professional setting is required Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Skills: Strong reading and writing skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and accuracy Safety is a Core Value with our organization.
