About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales and Marketing to provide senior leadership in the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for fiscal planning, setting and achieving targets, and establishing sales territories and goals. This role involves leading a team that includes sales reps, chefs, and consultants to build and maintain close relationships with a diverse customer base. The VP will also be accountable for market analysis, competitive monitoring, and the implementation of plans to maximize market penetration. A key aspect of the position is to lead the sales and marketing department in meeting performance metrics, managing expenses and revenue, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Applicants for the Vice President of Sales and Marketing position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a sales leadership role within the foodservice distribution industry. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred, along with a background in managing a complex salesforce over a large demographic area. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in achieving financial targets, increasing market share, and fostering customer relationships. The VP will be expected to have a deep understanding of customer business drivers, and to leverage this knowledge in setting strategies that align with the company's goals. Experience in training and developing sales staff, as well as the ability to lead and direct all aspects of sales and marketing performance, is essential.
