Residential Garage Door Service Technician

About the Position ProLift Garage Doors of Southeast Charlotte has an immediate need for an experienced Garage Door Technician. The role involves repair and door installation throughout the greater Southeast Charlotte, NC area covering Waxhaw, Ballantyne, Indian Trail, and Matthews. The company offers a competitive hourly rate, an attractive commission program, a 401(k) plan, and potential for an Operational Management role after a successful first year. Responsibilities Repair various types of garage doors and openers. Select appropriate solutions for each application, ensuring safety, functionality, and performance. Install garage doors. Requirements Previous experience servicing/installing garage doors, with knowledge of principles, techniques, equipment and supplies used in residential service. Mechanical aptitude and skilled use of hand and power tools. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and the general public. Team player with strong collaboration skills. Self‑starter capable of operating independently. Valid driver's license with a good driving record and insurability. Basic math skills and legible handwriting. Education High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of related experience providing necessary skills. Physical Demands Frequent standing, lifting, carrying, walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full hand use with good dexterity; lifting from floor to waist and twisting the torso. Work can involve cramped garages, ladders, power tools, manual labor outdoors, exposure to heat, sun, high humidity, rain, and other adverse weather conditions. Experience Residential Garage Door Service/Installation: 1 year (Preferred). Job Type Full‑time Salary Based on Experience License Driver's License (Required).
