Real Estate Associate

A respected California-based law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Real Estate Associate (approximately 5–7 years, with more senior candidates considered) to join its transactional real estate practice. The group handles a broad mix of acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, real estate finance, and general real estate matters for developers, private companies, and national clients. This role offers meaningful client contact and the opportunity to manage sophisticated transactions from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling commercial real estate transactions independently, particularly acquisitions and dispositions and/or leasing. Experience with real estate finance, land use, or construction contracts is beneficial but not required. The practice is seeking an attorney who can immediately assume responsibility for active matters, produce a thorough work product, and work directly with clients. Associates receive broad exposure across multiple areas of real estate law rather than being limited to a single specialty, along with meaningful opportunities for client development and partnership preparation. The practice maintains a hybrid schedule, a target of approximately 1,750 billable hours, competitive compensation beginning around $265,000 for mid-level associates, and discretionary bonus opportunities.
