Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 (Stepdown) and 1:5–6 (Floor)
• Titrate IV drips and manage patients requiring close hemodynamic monitoring
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; work alongside telemetry technicians who post strips each shift
• Collaborate with in-house respiratory therapy staff managing ventilated and respiratory-support patients
• Work with a team that includes certified nursing assistants and, during day shift, a charge nurse and transport RN
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Demonstrated experience in a MedSurg Stepdown, IMC, PCU, or similar level-of-care setting
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Experience titrating IV drips
• COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination series); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted promptly for review and approval

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Experience caring for ventilated patients in a stepdown or intermediate care environment
• Prior travel nursing experience in a comparable acute care setting
