FOOD UNIT LEAD (FULL TIME)

Position Details Title: Food Unit Lead Location: Confluence Preparatory Academy – 611 North 10th Street, Suite 525, SaintLouis, MO63101 (online applications only) Schedule: Full time, Monday‑Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM (details upon interview) Pay: $16.00–$17.00 per hour Requirement: Prior food service experience preferred; willing to train Job Summary Coordinates activities of other food‑service employees and creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides quality customer service with one‑on‑one attention to detail. Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control. Helps plan menus. Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals. Responds to customer complaints in person and via email for electronic complaints. Trains employees, assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow. Uses proper systems for daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory–cash reports, production records, payroll and time‑keeping. Manages proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual. Orders food and supplies from approved sources. Directs and participates in overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees. Develops sanitation schedule and ensures adherence to cleaning of kitchen, dining area, utensils and equipment. Issues written and oral instructions. Helps select and orient employees; oversees staff training. Performs other duties as assigned.
